Badaun Uttar Pradesh, October 8 – The District Panchayat Board, chaired by President Varsa Singh, convened a meeting at the District Panchayat auditorium. Participants included Chief Development Officer Keshav Kumar, esteemed members of the Zila Panchayat and Block Panchayats, Additional District Magistrate Arun Kumar (Supervisor), and district-level officials.

The meeting commenced with the confirmation of the previous meeting’s minutes (Proposal No. 01), unanimously approved by the house. Proposal No. 02 involved inclusion of five roads under the district’s management for pothole removal and special patch repairs in the 2025-26 plan, which was also approved unanimously.

Proposal No. 03 addressed the formation of a project plan using interest earned from funds received in recent years from the Fifth State Finance Commission and the 15th Finance Commission (Tied and Untied), approved unanimously. Proposal No. 04 concerned the approval of the property and wealth tax list for 2025-26, also unanimously sanctioned.

During discussions on ongoing development projects, members raised issues such as illegal hospitals in Nawaada and other locations, vaccination status, mid-day meal inspections, fertilizer supply, and the unnecessary blocking of Prime Minister’s Farm Scheme funds. They also requested details of current approved projects, which officials assured would be addressed promptly.
Proposal No. 06 (a) involved revising license fees for all businesses in rural areas of Badayu district, which was approved unanimously. Proposal No. 06 (b) called for increasing public suggestions via QR codes to develop Uttar Pradesh into a self-reliant state by 2047, in line with the Vision of the Chief Minister, which the house supported.

The session ended with a two-minute silence to pray for the peace of the late Member Himanshu Yadav. The Chairman expressed gratitude to all members, officials, and staff before declaring the meeting closed.
