Budaun, Uttar Pradesh - Following the recent incident of spurious drugs and cough syrups in Agra that resulted in child fatalities, District Magistrate Avnish Rai directed Drug Inspector Lav Kush Prasad to conduct inspections. Pursuant to this, on September 9th and 10th, the Drug Inspector inspected various medical stores in Budaun, collecting samples of suspected spurious drugs and cough syrups.

- Ramanuj Medical Store, Madhai Chowk (1 sample)
- Budaun Medical Hall (1 sample)
- New Unique Medical Store (2 samples of cough syrup)
- Surya Drug House (4 samples, including 1 cough syrup)
- Vaishno Traders (4 samples, including 2 cough syrups)
